Our Terms

1. Descriptions of Signs

All of our signs are made to the highest of standards
using only Welsh Slate, edge effects are all individual
styles and may vary from the samples shown.

Any markings in the slate are natural, and is not considered to be unusual but unique.

All signs are engraved not printed.

Any colour variations may occur due to the natural material used.

All sizes quoted are approximate.

The “Secret Fix” is used on all signs to mount on either
a gate or wall, nylon pins are sunk into the back of the sign. (Instructions should arrive on how to fit and look after your sign)

2. Payment and Pricing

Unless otherwise stated all goods must be paid for in full before being despatched from us. All prices are in GB Pounds Sterling. Deliveries to Non-European countries may result in import duties payable on receipt of goods. You will be liable for these duties.

3. Delivery

Please allow 7-10 working days for delivery, if we are unable to deliver during this period then you will be notified via email or telephone as to when your delivery will be expected. We offer no guarantee of being able to deliver within 3-5 working days. We will not refund or replace goods that are delayed in transit due to any reason including industrial action by third parties.
Free and Charged delivery refers to an order being sent to a given address once only.

5. Confidentiality
All payments taken via our website use a secure server. Our payments are taken securely.
All confidential information is held securely and used only in accordance with the Data Protection Act. Customer details are not passed to any third party, but we reserve the right to pass on contact telephone numbers to our delivery company in order to deliver, unless specifically requested not to do so.

6. Cancellations and Returns

If your goods are not manufactured to your specifications then you have the right to cancel the contract return the goods and receive either a full refund or replacement, if you are returning your goods then please state your reasons why.

8. Distance Selling Regs

Please note, under new distance selling regulations, customised and personalised items are not covered by the 14 day cooling off period and by ordering, you accept this.

9. Damaged Goods

Orders are checked before being dispatched and are packaged well to avoid damage during transit, however, we are only human and occasionally mistakes do happen. If your order reaches you in a damaged condition:

Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and we will replace it. You will be required to email us with photos of both the item in the state that it arrived and the packaging it arrived in to sales@slatesign.co.uk. This enables a much faster resolution. You have 14 days following delivery to do this, after which we are not responsible.

10. Gift Vouchers

You can exchange House Signs.Wales gift vouchers to purchase goods online at www.housesigns.wales & www.slatesign.co.uk.

You cannot exchange gift vouchers for cash.

If the goods purchased online total less than the value of the gift voucher, we'll leave any balance as a credit for you, and redeem it against subsequent orders.

You cannot use gift vouchers to discharge indebtedness.

Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

If you have to return goods you have purchased online using gift voucher/s, then in most instances we will credit the original payment source.

We reserve the right to refuse to accept a gift voucher which we deem to be tampered with, duplicated or which otherwise is suspected to be affected by fraud.

We reserve the right to amend the gift voucher terms and conditions from time to time, where we consider it reasonable and necessary to do so.

We are not responsible for any email that does not get received by its intended recipient during the gift voucher process, it is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure the recipient has knowledge of the gift voucher.

11. Proofs

You will be emailed with a production proof for approval, this will be sent to the email address on your receipt once ordered. Usually sent the next working day. If we do not have a response within 72hrs we will commence as per the emailed production proof. As a bespoke item we are unable to refund or amend the sign once this period of time has passed.

12. Advance Urgent Order

If selecting the “Advance Urgent Order” option on our website your order will jump straight to the top of our production queue and be manufactured straight away, please allow 5 working days from date of order to delivery. Your production proof will be emailed to you the same working day, so please check any email spam folders if not received as this will need to be confirmed before 3pm the same day. If your order is placed after 3pm then your order will go into the following days production run along with the email for proof approval.

13. Fixings & Fittings

When using our secret fixings method you will require a drill and silicone/adhesive for fixing to a wall ( which we do not supply).
